A Scientology Academy Opens in Riverside, California

Bob Mongiello used to run one of the largest Missions in the World in Riverside is now offering  Scientology without the Church.

Note:
This Academy is ***NOT *** affilliated with the “Official” Church of Scientology. Ron said: “The Tech is free for all who wish to use it” and as far as I am concerned no one can hold monopoly on spiritual freedom.

Bob Mongiello, OT VIII, Ls completion, a man of distinction, tells us how he used to run the Mission.  -“When we went to riverside in 1970 it was like going to Death Valley, California, it was said back then, that no one would ever be able to make a mission go there”

“Mary Corydon was a class VIII Auditor at the time and I knew that all I had to do is figure out how to bring people in and she would make sure the tech was in”

“The key to this was our dissem line and how we brought them in, we had a lecture about ARC and how one could improve life with communication . At the time we charged $50.00 for the course.  Joan ( Mongiello ) and Jim Hamre were in charge of the Comm Course. People just did the Basic Comm Course. We again, like in the old times, have that same course for anyone who wants it”

“Joan could go into more details but basically they would clear the words thetan , mind and body, and other key words while the students where doing the course. The students would key out and sign up for more because they cognited they were thetans !!!!”

“Our stats were 20 or more Comm Course starts a week; soon, we had 1000 active students and lots of PCs on lines”

“The Riverside Mission was legendary in the late 70s mid 80s. The Atlanta Mission would be in competitions with them for top FSM awards. Good!”

“The next thing you will have 180 staff and the biggest mission in the world ..!!!”

Here is a video of Bob Mongiello talking about the plans for the Riverside Mission

Bob continues: “After the Mission Holder’s Conference I left the CofS with my wife and children but we continued practicing and teaching Scientology  in North Carolina”

Here are some images of the building in Riverside, California. They just moved this week and they are still getting organized. They are getting ready to deliver a workshop next week.

And this is the office

Bob Mongiello states: “In the present I am also doing “The Navigator Series” showing anyone how to start build  and succeed at any business. There is a series of videos I made on Entrepreneur Basics; we want people to succeed in life!”

  1. Thank you all guys for moving it forward!

  2. Hi,

I wanted to say that it’s nice to have a place to go in Riverside,CA.

Let’s make it boom like in the 70’s.

  3. Terrific. There should still be a lot of disaffected Scientologists in that area. You can search and discover them. LOL

  4. It will take a resource based economy such as the Venus Project concept and auditing/counseling to have final peach on earth. One without the other is far less likely to work.

  5. Good start Bob. Best wishes!

  6. I happened to be at the Mission Holder’s Conference, even though I attended after my 5 plus hours on the purif every day. I knew an important event was happening, and made sure I was there, having been in Scientology/Dianetics since the very beginning, I called my father and other people from the Flag Base, where the Mission Holder’s event was happening, and said, “Dad!!!! This is the way we wanted our Church back!!!” I thought that this amazing gathering of people were going to transform our amazing church back to its roots. But unfortunately, the evil usurpers had already taken over, and our heroes were disrobed and beaten before our eyes. We stood up to these evil doers, but after the meeting was over, they continued their take over. We, the free people who have persevered, have the magic and Theta power to continue the good that was prescribed by Ron. It belongs to all of us, for us and all. Ron always said that it was not for him, but for us.

    • Olivia, thanks for sharing your story on the Mission’s Holder Conference. I am glad that there are people like you that brings the truth for those who are just leaving.

    • Good post Olivia. Write some more about your exclamation to your father, “Dad!!!! This is the way we wanted our Church back!!!” What was occurring in your reality of the time and what did you think was going to happen at the Mission Holders Conference.

  7. This warms my heart and I know how simple it can be with the pure tech, the pure intention of the tech and the people who are aware enough to be there and deliver the simplicity of what Ron intended. What exists today in the Church he created, is the antithesis of what he wanted. Thank you so much for being bright enough to persevere.

    • Thanks Olivia! The Mongiellos are bringing back the Scientology that was fun and theta. Ron said that the Tech was free for all to use, we don’t need permission from anyone to help others.

  8. Many thanks Aida. That was a very interesting and thoughtful article. If people find the Scientology methodology effective and rewarding they will continue studying it. Particularly if it is in an enjoyable and positive space.

But if it is is overlaid with a coercive and oppressive organizational structure with constant demands for donations and obedience, where questions and opinions are not permitted then many will drift away.

I have read a number of accounts of the Mission Holder’s Conference where the naked greed and intolerance of the organization caused decent folk like Bob to take a resolute stand and refuse to be crushed and I admire them for their determination and courage.

    • I agree with everything you wrote here Andrew.

I’d also like to say hi to Bob and I am very pleased he’s opening up an Academy.

      As we say in SoCal.

      Rock on!

      Dude!

    • Thanks for your comment. Bob Mongiello and his whole family are true, clean heart people who really want to help others and I wish them all the success in the world!
